St. Ambrose University uses multiple methods to notify the campus of emergency conditions, including campus emails, text messages, web alerts, social media posts, and alerts through the LiveSafe app.
An emergency notification will be issued if the University determines that a situation exists that requires members of the community to take immediate action to protect themselves or that will cause a disruption to the daily operations of the University, such as unexpected closure or delays.
In keeping with the requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act, the University will notify the campus community when it determines a violent or serious crime has occurred and it is reasonable to believe the crime is likely to pose a reoccurring risk to members of the campus community.
For more information, review St. Ambrose University's Timely Notice and Emergency Notification Policy in the SAU Student Handbook 2024-25.
St. Ambrose University uses LiveSafe to provide emergency alerts and resources to employees, students, and parents. You can also use LiveSafe on your mobile device to report tips to SAU security, virtually escort your friends in real-time on a map, place emergency calls, and access safety resources.
